On the 9th and 10th of March 2011 the SafeCare Initiative organised a conference in Cape Town themed Meeting the challenges faced by emerging countries in the provision of quality primary health care. SafeCare invited over 100 guests from all over the world with a direct involvement or interest in the definition and evaluation of quality of health care provision to participate in the  conference.
