The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kenya, in collaboration with PharmAccess SafeCare, will launch the Kenya Quality Model for Health Plus (KQMH PLUS) on 26th January 2026. A valuable milestone in strengthening quality of care at the primary health care level.
The model envisions a structured quality improvement approach within Primary Care Networks, to bring quality closer to communities and frontline health facilities in selected counties, across the country. The implementation will be driven by county-led multidisciplinary teams, KQMH PLUS will enhance patient safety, accountability, and people-centered care.
This week, The Principal Secretary of Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, met PharmAccess Regional Director Millicent Olulo to finalize preparations for the launch, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing high-quality, safe, and people-centred healthcare for all Kenyans. Dr Lucy Musyoka Director Health Standards, Regulations and Quality Assurance, Ministry of Health attended the meeting.
