Progress Report Highlighted story

Our digital solutions contribute to ensuring better health outcomes for all, especially for low-income populations in sub-Saharan Africa. These solutions also deliver the first evidence of the power of mobile technology to bring healthcare closer to people, at much lower cost.

2022 highlights include:

  • We have further improved and strengthened our value-based care, patient-centric MomCare model, resulting in significant improvements in the quality of care for over 58,000 women.
  • To date, the Medical Credit Fund has provided over 8,000 loans, of which 97% are digitally disbursed. Many of our clients are female entrepreneurs, as our digital loans do not require traditional collateral.
  • SafeCare is rapidly scaling thanks to public and private partnerships, in Africa as well as in Asia.
  • Renewed partnerships, including with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, allow us to stay at the cutting edge of health systems innovation.

We are grateful to our partners for their continued collaboration and thank them for making the impossible possible by working together to achieve our shared goals.
